IEEE CEC 2027 invites proposals for Tutorials. Tutorials offer participants systematic, educational coverage of established foundations, emerging research directions and practical know-how in evolutionary computation and related areas. The standard duration is 1.5 hours; proposals for longer formats are welcome where the additional time is clearly justified. The best tutorials are accessible to newcomers while offering depth for experienced researchers, and combine theory with hands-on elements and real examples.

What to include in a proposal

The Tutorial Title

An abstract

with clear learning objectives

An outline of the topics with approximate timings

Intended Audience

assumed background and expected attendance

The Presenters

names, affiliations, short biographies and relevant teaching or presentation experience, noting whether a similar tutorial has been delivered recently at CEC, WCCI, GECCO or elsewhere.

Presenters are encouraged to prepare supporting materials (slides, handouts, code or a tutorial web page) for participants.
