IEEE CEC 2027 invites proposals for Competitions on problems of scientific or practical interest to the evolutionary computation community. Competitions drive progress on benchmark and real-world problems, provide reproducible comparisons between methods, and attract participants at every career stage.
What to include in a proposal
The competition title and scope; the organisers with affiliations and short biographies; a description of the problem or problem suite, the evaluation protocol, ranking criteria and any software, data or baseline implementations to be provided; the timeline from launch through to submission of entries and announcement of results; how results will be presented at the congress (for example within a dedicated competition session); and any prizes or sponsorship. Organisers of accepted competitions are expected to maintain a competition web page, respond to participant queries, and run the evaluation impartially, and are encouraged to make winning entries publicly available where possible.
